GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ advised Q-Park B.V. (Q-Park), one of Europe's leading private parking operators, on merger control issues in connection with the acquisition of Bavaria Parkgaragen GmbH (Bavaria Parkgaragen).

Q-Park currently operates around 170 car parks with approximately 66,000 parking spaces in more than 40 cities in Germany through its subsidiary Q-Park Deutschland. The acquisition of Bavaria Parkgaragen strengthens Q-Park's market position in the field of urban mobility in Germany, particularly in Munich and Berlin, where Bavaria Parkgaragen has a strong presence in city centre locations.

Bavaria Parkgaragen, a company of Blue Lion, a family office of the Schörghuber family of entrepreneurs from Munich, is one of the largest private car park operators in Germany. The company currently operates 26 car parks with over 12,000 parking spaces.

The acquisition not only expands Q-Park's geographical reach but also adds attractive city centre locations to its existing portfolio. In addition, Q-Park is continuing to pursue its strategy of establishing innovative mobility solutions and sustainable parking concepts in major German cities, thereby contributing to future-oriented urban infrastructure.

GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ provided Q-Park with comprehensive advice on merger control and anti-trust issues in connection with the transaction and obtained a speedy approval of the transaction by the German Federal Cartel Office.
