GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ advised Q-Park B.V., the third-largest private parking operator in Germany, on merger control in the acquisition of Park One GmbH (Park One).

Q-Park Germany is the third-largest private parking operator in Germany and owns, operates or manages 131 parking facilities with more than 50,000 parking spaces in over 40 German cities. With the acquisition, Q-Park aims to consolidate its position as a major player in parking and urban mobility in Western Europe, particularly in Germany.

Park One is the seventh largest parking operator in Germany. The company operates 41 parking facilities with more than 12,800 parking spaces in a number of German cities. 

Q-Park not only benefits from Park One's experience in this segment, but also from the takeover of the Munich location and other locations in major cities. In addition, ambitious mobility solutions and seamless parking services across Germany will strengthen Q-Park's position as a sustainable mobility partner for cities and contribute to their Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs). 

GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ accompanied the deal from an antitrust perspective and advised on merger control securing a speedy clearance of the transaction by the Federal Cartel Office.
