GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ advises SANDOW on the acquisition of Architonic

GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ advised SANDOW, together with Swiss law firm Advestra, on the acquisition of Swiss design platform Architonic.
Architonic is a global online platform for architecture and design. It combines curated content, product data and digital tools to provide architects and designers worldwide with inspiration and planning aids. It is based in Switzerland and Germany.
The seller is DAAily Platforms AG, an association of the Architonic, ArchDaily and Designboom platforms, in which the NZZ Group holds a majority stake.
SANDOW is an internationally active, privately held media and technology company based in Boca Raton, Florida, USA, with large operational headquarters in New York City. It develops and operates brands, platforms and services for the architecture, design, luxury and creative industries. The company operates at the intersection of design, materials and luxury, delivering content, platforms, and integrated solutions. Its portfolio includes design media such as Interior Design, Luxe Interiors + Design, Metropolis, Azure, Design Milk, and Architizer, as well as digital research and marketing platforms, events and data-driven services for design-oriented audiences.
Acquiring Architonic strengthens SANDOW's position in the international architecture and design market, expanding its digital portfolio and creating synergies between its existing media brands, platforms and services.
Advestra, one of Switzerland's leading law firms specializing in corporate law and M&A transactions, acted as lead counsel in this transaction. GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ was responsible for advising on the German law aspects. The two law firms worked closely together throughout the acquisition process, providing SANDOW with comprehensive support.
