The law firm GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ, which specializes in corporate and antitrust law, appointed Dr Philipp Elixmann (35) as Counsel with effect from 1 March 2025. Dr Andreas Merkner, partner at the firm, comments on the appointment as follows: "We are very pleased to appoint Philipp Elixmann, yet another outstanding lawyer from our corporate practice, as Counsel. Philipp Elixmann has grown to become an important member of our team in the last four years, both professionally and personally. He has continuously built up valuable expertise in advising listed stock corporations – both in ongoing corporate and capital markets law business as well as in advising on restructurings and transactions. With his excellent work, he has contributed significantly to the great success of our practice group and the retention of clients."

Dr Philipp Elixmann began his professional career in March 2021 as an associate at GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ and has been practising in the firm's corporate team since then.

Dr Philipp Elixmann studied law at the University of Muenster. After completing his First Legal Exam he worked for several years as a research assistant in the corporate team of a leading international law firm in Duesseldorf and obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Osnabrueck on a topic regarding German Takeover Law. 

He advises German and international clients on all aspects of corporate and capital markets law as well as transactions. His practice focuses on advising listed stock corporations on all issues of corporate, group, reorganization and capital markets law. This includes, inter alia, the preparation and conduct of (virtual) general meetings, advice to companies on day-to-day business and on issues of insider law, ad hoc publicity and transparency of shareholdings as well as transactions and takeover proceedings.
