Short Profile

 Anna-Frederike Schaube is an associate at GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ in the competition practice. She advises German and international clients on issues relating to German and European competition law. 

Anna-Frederike Schaube studied law at the University of Muenster. During her studies, she participated in the John H. Jackson Moot Court in the field of world trade law. 

As part of her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court Duesseldorf, she worked at the Media Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia and in the antitrust law team of a leading international law firm. After her legal second state examination, she started working on her doctoral thesis on an antitrust law topic and worked as a legal assistant at a leading international law firm. 

Anna-Frederike Schaube is fluent in her native language German as well as in English. 

In her leisure time, she enjoys running and trying to hit a small white ball into the hole with as few strokes as possible. She also enjoys to spend time with her family and friends.

 

Experience and Matters

Anna-Frederike Schaube's professional experience includes, inter alia, the following matters:

  • Representation in fine and administrative proceedings: including representation of companies before the Federal Cartel Office and the European Commission; for instance, Deutsche Post AG in proceedings before the Federal Cartel Office concerning mail consolidation services and a company in fine proceedings before the Federal Cartel Office in the road construction sector; Representation of a large retailer in proceedings before the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (German: Bundesanstalt für Landwirtschaft und Ernährung: BLE) on issues of UTP law.
  • Internal investigations: Advising on, managing, and conducting data collection, review, and evaluation within the scope of internal investigations.
  • Compliance: Development and review of compliance structures, advice on the design of distribution systems and cooperation between competitors, advising market-dominant companies on questions of abuse of a dominant position, advising on contractual drafting taking into account the provisions of UTP law.
  • Transactions: Advising on the preparation and execution of merger control proceedings before the Federal Cartel Office and the European Commission.
  • Litigation: Advising on the defence and assertion of antitrust damages claims, e.g. in the "railway technology cartel", "drugstore items cartel" and "road construction" cases.
