Jochen Markgraf is a partner at GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ in the CORPORATE practice. He advises international companies on a variety of corporate law issues; in addition to listed companies and groups of companies and those acting on an international level, Jochen Markgraf's clients also include leading SMEs. The focus of his work as a lawyer includes, in particular, advising on restructuring as well as in pre-insolvency reorganization situations. Another focus is corporate litigation where he can rely on many years of experience in advising on complex court and arbitration proceedings.
In addition to his position as a lecturer teacher of University of Osnabrück (corporate finance) he frequently gives lectures since 2018. Following his training as a bank clerk with BHF Bank AG, Jochen Markgraf commenced his legal studies at the University of Trier, which he continued with a semester abroad in Salonika/Greece and at the University of Münster (Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität), specializing in commercial law and corporate law. Following his legal trainee course (with business law as a core area) at the Higher Regional Court (OLG) Koblenz, Jochen Markgraf received his doctorate in law from the University of Cologne with a thesis on insolvency law.
Jochen Markgraf enjoys and takes on the great benefits and challenges as a father of three children and is an enthusiastic supporter of Fortuna Düsseldorf, a German soccer team which will hopefully stay successful in the German Bundesliga.
