Kay Pipoh is an associate at GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ in the CORPORATE practice. He advises German and international clients on general corporate law, restructuring and corporate litigation.
From 2008 to 2014, Kay Pipoh studied law with a focus on corporate law at the University of Bielefeld and the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU). In his subsequent doctorate at the HHU, he analyzed the validity control of arbitration agreements, focusing on the interplay between arbitration law, antitrust law and general civil law. During this time, Kay Pipoh worked at the Chair of Private Law, German and International Business Law (Prof Dr Christian Kersting, LL.M. (Yale)) at the HHU. There, he coached the Düsseldorf Moot Court team to compete in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court; he continues to be a member of the Düsseldorf Moot Association (DMA).
During his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf from 2018 to 2020, Kay Pipoh worked at the German Embassy in Riga, Latvia, in the dispute resolution team of a leading international law firm and in the ministry of the interior of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Kay Pipoh is a volunteer firefighter, avid swimmer, runner and cyclist. He also follows all developments around the German soccer team Borussia Dortmund.
