Dr Leona tho Pesch

Leona tho Pesch is an associate at GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ in the COMPETITION practice. She advises German and international companies on issues relating to German and European competition law.

Leona tho Pesch first studied Political Science and Economics before passing her First State Examination in Law at the University of Cologne in 2020. Her doctoral thesis, which focused on criminal law, was supported by a doctoral scholarship from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. Alongside her doctoral studies and legal traineeship, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure under Prof. Dr. Dr. Frauke Rostalski. In addition, she obtained an LL.M. in Business Law from the University of Cologne.

As part of her legal traineeship, Leona tho Pesch completed placements with a Commercial Chamber at a Regional Court, the European Commission in Brussels, and the legal department of an internationally operating company.

In addition to her native German, she speaks fluent English and has advanced knowledge of Spanish and French. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and engaging in sports.
