Short Profile

Martin Gerding is an associate at GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ and works in the CORPORATE department. He advises German and international companies on all aspects of corporate and capital markets law. 

Martin Gerding studied law at the University of Osnabrück with a focus on corporate and capital markets law. In parallel, he completed a specialized foreign language training in U.S. law and additional training in economics. He passed the first state examination in 2016. 

Following his studies, Martin Gerding worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Commercial and Business Law at the University of Osnabrück in the department of Prof. Dr. Andreas Fuchs, LL.M. (Michigan). In 2020, he received his doctorate there with a dissertation on a capital markets law topic. The work was awarded the Science Prize of the Law Society Osnabrück-Emsland 2021.

During his legal clerkship, Martin Gerding spent time, among other things, at a leading international law firm in Düsseldorf and at the Higher Regional Court of Oldenburg in a senate for banking and investment law. He passed the second state examination in 2021.

Martin Gerding speaks German and English. He enjoys spending his free time with family and friends and playing sports.
