Dr Jonas Prauß

Jonas Prauß is an associate at GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ and works in the CORPORATE/M&A department. He advises German and international clients on M&A transactions, mergers and acquisitions as well as restructuring measures. In addition, he also provides general counseling on matters of partnership and corporate law.

Jonas Prauß studied law at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf with a focus on corporate and commercial law. After his First State Exam, he worked on his doctoral thesis at the Chair of Civil Law, Civil Procedure Law and Commercial Law of Professor Nicola Preuß and for the Institute for Insolvency and Restructuring Law (ISR) of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. 

He then gained practical experience as a research assistant in several major international law firms, working, among others, in the areas of "Arbitration Law", "Finance" as well as "Business Restructuring”.

He already spent his elective stage during his legal clerkship at GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ, also in the Corporate/M&A department. Since his participation in the "Willem C. Vis. International Commercial Arbitration Moot", an international competition in arbitration law, he is a member of the Düsseldorf Moot Association (DMA) e.V. and regularly acts as an arbitrator during the annual moot court season. 

Besides his native language German, Jonas Prauß is fluent in English. In his leisure time, he enjoys spending time with friends or playing sports, always trying to combine both.
