Dr Yannick Morath

Yannick Morath is an associate at GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ in the COMPETITION practice. He advises German and international clients on issues relating to German and European competition law.

Yannick Morath studied law at Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg and Tsinghua University (Beijing, China). He passed the First Legal State Exam in 2019. Yannick Morath then worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Foreign and International Private Law at the University of Freiburg, where he received his doctorate in 2023 with a dissertation in the field of international law of obligations.

During his legal clerkship, which he accomplished in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf, Yannick Morath worked, among others, at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin and at a law firm specializing in international commercial law in Milan. He passed his Second Legal State Exam in October 2023.

In addition to his native German, Yannick Morath speaks fluent English and has a basic knowledge of Italian.

He likes to spend his free time running and cycling, as well as attending as many SC Freiburg matches as possible.
