Dr Thomas Willemsen (né Busen)

Thomas Willemsen (né Busen) is an associate at GLADE MICHEL WIRTZ in the COMPETITION practice. He advises German and international clients on issues relating to German and European competition law.

Thomas Willemsen studied law at the University of Bayreuth. Afterwards he worked as a research assistant in the field of antitrust law for a leading international law firm in Duesseldorf.

During his legal clerkship Thomas Willemsen worked, inter alia, for the German Embassy in Beijing and in the New York office of an international law firm.

Subsequently, Thomas completed his doctoral thesis in the field of merger control at the University of Duesseldorf.

Thomas Willemsen is fluent in his native language German as well as in English. 

In his leisure time Thomas Willemsen likes to travel, enjoys to spend time with family and friends and is active playing tennis and hiking.
